Summary
Have you ever heard that Bibles are being printed even in Pakistan? It’s true! With very old machines and in a place that doesn’t attract too much attention! With this project, we aim to spread the Gospel in Pakistan through the distribution of (modern-looking) Bibles. They’d like to reach 75,000 people by distributing 35,000 New Testaments and 5,000 full Bibles in Modern Urdu, along with 35,000 keychains containing QR codes linking to digital Bible platforms in thousands of languages. In a country where 98% of the population is Muslim, the project works through local churches, evangelists, and volunteers to share God’s Word. The goal is to reach approximately 75,000 people in Pakistan and neighboring countries, leading them to faith in Jesus Christ and helping to form new communities that shine as witnesses in the Muslim world.

Partner organization’s mission and vision
Since 2020, MissionInvest has partnered strategically with CityBibles to bring Bible distribution to many nations worldwide. CityBibles, started in 2009, is convinced that only the Gospel can save lives in this dark and broken world. CityBibles prints modern-looking Bibles of the New Testament as well as complete Bibles (OT/NT), and distributes these worldwide. CityBibles is independent of any denomination. More than 8 million CityBibles have been printed and distributed worldwide in the past 12 years in more than 100 languages. Through distributing the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ they want to reach out to the lost souls of Pakistan and surrounding countries.
CityBibles works locally with a highly trusted project leader from Pakistan who is deeply passionate about sharing the Gospel in one of the world’s most challenging regions. He reaches people on streets, campuses, in prisons, and even among mullahs. Stefan plants churches and preaches with integrity, ensuring every sponsorship fund is used transparently. His SUV serves as a mobile platform for evangelism.
Urgency
Pakistan is an Islamic country located between India and Afghanistan. The country has 216 million inhabitants, 98% of whom are Muslim. There are a total of 170 unreached people groups across Pakistan. About 95% of Pakistan’s population is unchurched. This Bible is also intended for Christians, to be trained in visiting Muslim prisoners, families, and individuals, as it makes use of Islamic terms and the names of prophets.
‘Bible Printing & Distribution in Pakistan: Whether through personal one-to-one evangelism in the bazaars of inner cities, along country roads, or with guests at Christmas events or on national days; the New Testament reaches seekers all over Pakistan.’ – Local project leader
Project
The goal of this project is to print Bibles locally at a discreet printing company and to distribute both Bibles and keychains among Pakistani communities, reaching out to them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We distinguish two sub‑goals, as follows:
There is a need for deliveries on occasions such as Christmas, Easter, Ramadan, and Eid (the Islamic festival of breaking the fast, celebrated directly after Ramadan). The distribution must be carried out by personal transportation in hundreds of cities around Islamabad, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.
Impact
With this project, at least 75,000 people will receive either a New Testament, a Bible, or the keychain, enabling them to listen to and read the Word of God. There is a growing hunger for God’s Word among Pakistanis today. People in Pakistan and surrounding countries will gather in newly planted local churches and glorify God through our Lord Jesus Christ. They will be a shining witness in the midst of the Muslim world. This is the great impact they long for and continue to pray for persistently. All these young believers will stand as a radiant testimony throughout the Muslim world!
Support and budget
CityBibles is a non-profit organization committed to making the Gospel accessible to everyone. Because they operate without profit, we can keep costs remarkably low: just €2 for a Bible and €0.15 for a keychain. That means for only €2.15, you can share the Good News with two people in Pakistan!
This is more than a project; it’s an opportunity to transform lives. The total cost for printing, binding, and transporting Bibles is €80,000, with an additional €5,000 for keychains. To make this unique and impactful Kingdom initiative a reality, MissionInvest is seeking €85,000 in total.
Help CityBibles and their local project leader Stefan accomplish their mission of reaching thousands of people living in spiritual darkness. Our project leader’s heart beats for the lost souls of Pakistan, but he cannot do it alone. Your support can help him keep shining the light of Christ where it’s needed most!
