Help build a new church in Ghana

No Mosque, but a Church in Northern Ghana!

Context
In Northern Ghana we have worked over the past few years on building and launching the Queen of Sheba Health Clinic, a maternal and child care facility with a special focus on safe childbirth. The clinic was officially opened on September 20, and from January 1 we hope to welcome the first patients.

The project
On the same site, we are constructing a chapel, a place of peace, prayer, and community. This chapel will accommodate 100–150 people and will serve as a spiritual center where the Word of God will be shared daily with clinic visitors and local residents. Activities will include weekly devotions, pastoral care, and special services. In a place where life and vulnerability meet, a house of faith and comfort is of immeasurable value.

The chapel is designed in the shape of a cross, a powerful symbol in a region where the majority of the population is muslim and many mosques are being built. This is why it is so urgently needed that this church becomes a reality. As members of the global body of Christ, we are called to care for our brothers and sisters in need. Let us therefore ensure that they too have their own church as a great testimony of God’s faithfulness to them!

Construction has already begun. We have chosen sustainable materials and a solid design that will last for generations. Instead of a simple tin roof, the chapel will have a solid hardwood roof structure with long-lasting materials, supported by the expertise of a craftsman from the Faroe Islands.
